Android/Linux w/ ADB
remount /system as read/write
While little detail has been put into this, it is possible to get into a root ADB shell on these. Thus, there is potential.
Ceiva/Polaroid PhotoMax

Linux
Basic framebuffer support is now included
A simple Linux kernel port. Apparently this thing communicates through phone to the CPU? Very odd. Kernel 2.4.19 + a custom patch, which enables the flash chips and the framebuffer. Maybe this could be developed into something more? Although, 4MB of DRAM is paltry.
Parrot DF3120
Operating Systems (Samsung S3C2412 ARM9)
Linux 2.6.x
There are several included demos to try. type any of the following on the command line
Surprisingly overpowered for a little frame. Even the 8MB SDRAM can be upgraded to 32 or 64MB. Full framebuffer access. Capable of running little programs, which could maybe lead to more practical/functional capabilities? Most interesting programs require a Wii Remote paired to the Bluetooth this thing has. Can also run Doom, but that needs swap/upgrade of RAM.
