This is an old revision of the document!

Ticket Validators

Commonly found on public transport systems for the purpose of validating the tickets or passes of entering riders. It is presumed that these will often run a Windows CE or Linux variant, on MIPS, ARM, or RISC CPUs.

Lille, FR Validators

Operating Systems

Windows CE

Almost nothing is dispelled about this by the OP, but with research, it may be possible to figure out the model of this, as the location of this validator is known.

Myki Validators

Operating Systems

Windows CE (+Doom)
I was able to simply extract the CAB file, rename the conents and copy it directly

Must be controlled with VNC, despite having a video output on the device itself. Latency is minimal, luckily. Obviously, it has an underlying Windows CE system, so the true EOP is running this system and making it “open”.
